“You don’t win election cases by trying to win.  You win election cases by remaining steadfastly and completely committed to the rule of law and the integrity of our election system.”

— Jen Standerfer

Meet Jen

Jennifer Waymack Standerfer is a Northwest Arkansas mom and lawyer.  She cheered on the Mounties at Rogers High School and the Hogs at the University of Arkansas for undergrad and law school.  Now at the peak of her robust legal career, she has settled Waymack Standerfer Law in Bentonville where she puts her expertise to work serving her home community of Northwest Arkansas.  While Jen has represented clients throughout the state in all areas of the law, her expertise lies in Elections, Local Government, and Criminal Justice.

Elections

Jen began her elections work as a nonpartisan attorney for the Arkansas General Assembly drafting state laws and advising both Republican and Democrat Senators and Representatives concerning ethics, duties of public officers and employees, campaign finance, voter rights and registration, and all other aspects of elections and public service.  As Jen has transitioned to the private sector she continues to support candidates and officials with varied political affiliations, and focuses on bipartisan policy work.  She attributes her repeated trial successes to the cooperative commitment to the integrity of elections that she shares with her clients.

Local Government

When Jen first came home to raise her family, she was blessed to work for the city she grew up in, Rogers, Arkansas.  This experience coupled with her prior state and county government experience helps her to communicate with boards and commissions, circumvent the red tape of codes and regulatory processes, and guide her clients and their projects to success despite the challenges presented by government entities.  Jen has an extensive background in zoning, municipal planning, infrastructure, construction, and contracts. She regularly assists Arkansas cities, counties, and departments with elections, ordinances, contracts, and other legal needs.

Criminal Justice

Having tried many jury trials for both prosecution and defense, Jen is the attorney to help you navigate Arkansas’s criminal justice system. As a deputy prosecutor assigned to the Gang Unit in Little Rock, she worked hand in hand with detectives and officers who were committed to finding truth. She saw the devastating impact that a bad cop can have on a good agency. She built relationships with victims and families as they experienced and relived their trauma. And she saw both victims and defendants get lost in the complicated governmental process of complaints, investigations, court proceedings, and trials. Whether you’re looking for policy reform or a helping hand as you are introduced to the criminal justice system, Jen is here to help."
